Requests for official Champaign County criminal records belong with the government office that created or maintains the record. The routes below distinguish the sheriff's records counters, Circuit Clerk, arresting police agency, and Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian that matches the Champaign County record:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Criminal-history responses: contact Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Champaign County Sheriff's office or arresting agency
  • Personal record review: use ISP's fingerprint-based Access and Review process
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Expungement and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case
